Time seems to be flying by. I haven't had the time to do much photography stuff, but I did get the website for my practice up. It is a very basic page, but it does the job of getting my contact information out there. Check it out: http://www.geocities.com/rdeishermsw/. So, I'll get more photos up as soon as I can, but my hands are kind of full right now. I have a lot on my plate. I guess I bit off more than I can chew. Too many irons in the fire. So little time and so much to do. Busier than the white house complaint department. Okay, that'll do for cliches. Email me if you'd like to hear more.

These are from a recent trip to Bellingham with Shira. I was turned loose while she studied. The bulk of this day's photos, not represented here, are of a duck. I took 96 pictures of a duck. Go figure.

This is the standard Seattle view and the best place in the city to get a shot of the Space Needle. I live about a mile away from here on the Puget Sound side of the hill. I took this back in September. I can't believe I've been here that long. Time flies.

Okay. As I was reflecting on the photo I posted on the 14th, I decided that what I'd really like to do with this site is to create a photographic journal of my days in Seattle. Having just moved here a little over six months ago, I would really like to get to know more about the city and do a kind of structured observation. To be honest, I've been feeling a bit insulated lately. I moved here for a job and became sort of entrenched in a particular way of living. One that I was not entirely happy with. But, alas, I have a new position, a kind of promotion, and am much freer to do what makes me happy. So here goes. I may even surprise you all with a bit of video now and again. Hope you enjoy. Let me know.

Is there a better time to start a blog than on one's birthday? I don't know, but it seems appropriate and something I have wanted to do for a long time. I'm not quite sure what I'll do with it yet, but I'll do my best to make it interesting.
